What is my Chinese zodiac animal?

How do I find my Chinese zodiac sign?

Enter your birth date in the lookup above. Your Chinese zodiac sign is set by your birth year — one of twelve animals — and this page uses the solar calendar, so births near the February boundary get the correct animal rather than the one the Lunar New Year date implies.

What is my Chinese zodiac element?

Do I need my birth hour?

No. This profile is built from your birth date alone — the year branch and the day stem. That's why it takes one minute and why you can look up your parents, your partner, or a friend without asking them anything awkward. (A full Personal Reading does use the hour, and goes far deeper.)

How is this different from a zodiac horoscope?

A zodiac horoscope reads one character out of your four pillars, shared with roughly a twelfth of everyone alive. This reads two — and the second one, the Day Master, is the character BaZi treats as you.

When do I get it?

My birthday is in late January or early February.

Then read the note that appears with your result. The BaZi year turns at 立春 (Beginning of Spring, around 4 February), not at Lunar New Year — so your real animal may not be the one you grew up being told. This page already calculates it correctly; for births within a day of the boundary, the exact hour and place can still tip it, and a full reading verifies that by hand.
